Injuries and EPL Fades

Injuries are part of the game that the EPL has to contend with. Combine that with the extra toil that the players have to contend with international friendlies and it is a difficult event to overcome if it happens to your favorite team.  APEX Soccer Betting is going to examine two of the higher profile teams to see where they got dinged as of late.  While we still have hope for one, the fortunes of the other team covered here are going down by the minute.  Read on to see how this will effect our wagering in the EPL for the immediate future and beyond.

Chelsea Crushing News

When it rains it pours for this football club.  They were thwarted of their key transfer and now they have a key injury to contend with.  Thibaut Courtois is out for a prolonged period of time.  Surgery is going to be needed on his right knee and the rehab time is formidable.  At least it is projected to be the lesser of two evils in a meniscus tear instead of ligament damage.  Asmir Begovic will do in a pinch but this is a hammer blow at the projected goal keeping depth there was at Chelsea.  The fade we projected with them got a little less strong as prices will correct themselves quicker than had this injury not occurred.

Manchester City Also Hit

The injury bug also hit Manchester City.  David Silva will miss the Crystal Palace match but another headliner is going to be out for much longer.  Fabian Delph is to miss at least six weeks.  A hamstring went all awry barely into England’s win against Switzerland.  With Clichy and Zabaleta also shelved, can the walking wounded keep it together until all but Fabian can make it back on the field.  If they can hold on for two or three more games then Manchester City has a bright future for this season.
